The Christmas Promenade — a whole snowy town, all the way around

A little European town on Christmas Eve, drawn in fine ink and gouache and wrapped all the way around the mug. On one side an ochre clock tower and a decorated fir stand above a three-arch stone bridge, with an icy-blue river running underneath. Turn the mug and you walk on into town: the bakery window lit gold, tall townhouses under ruby roofs, a red mailbox, and a small Santa hurrying down the street with a parcel. A garland of greenery and little gold bells runs over the rooftops the whole way round.

The handle and the inside are a deep Christmas red, so the white of the snow and the drawing stand out — and the cocoa looks even better in it.

Two sides to the town

• Clock tower side — faces you when you hold the mug in your right hand: tower, Christmas tree, stone bridge and river
